WORLD WAR I DRAFT REGISTRATION LIST

The Conscription Act of 1917 required that all men between the ages of 21 and 31 register for the draft on June 5, 1917. Eighty-one men from Warren Township registered on that date, as follows (name, followed by post office address):

There were at least three subsequent registrations before the war ended.

In August the Exemption Board for the 1st District of Somerset County began the task of selecting those to be drafted. Two men from Warren Township were selected: Fred. Geiger and Percy H. Reinmann. [Somerset Messenger, 7/11/1917, 8/22/1917]
