You can get rid of old furniture, appliances and items that you no longer want or need at the Warren Township Mini Dump which is open to all Warren Residents.

Fill Dirt and Wood Chips

Any Warren Township resident who is interested in obtaining fire wood, fill dirt or wood chips may call the Municipal Garage on 908-753-1223.

Your name will be included on a wait list and the material will be delivered within Warren Township free of charge when it is available.

ROAD IMPROVEMENT UPDATES

Route 78 - NOTICE OF RAMP CLOSURES

Project:

Route 78 from I-287 to West of Plainfield Avenue, Preventive Maintenance

Resurfacing Contract No. 030073060

Proposed Start Date of New Traffic Pattern:

Tuesday night, September 8, 2009 (weather permitting)

Route/Direction/MP: 

Route 78 / EB & WB / MP 31.25 to 31.96

Ramps at Exits 33 (Liberty Corner Road), 36 (King George Road) & 40 (Hillcrest Road)

Municipality/County:

Townships of Bedminster, Bridgewater, Bernards & Warren and Watchung Borough / Somerset County

Nature of work:

Mill and pave the ramps to/from I-78 at exits 33, 36 & 40.  This work has been added to the contract.

Anticipated Traffic Impacts:

Nighttime closure of the ramps from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Work will begin at the I-78 EB Ramps at Interchange 33 and progress east.  Once the EB ramps are completed, work will begin on the I-78 WB ramps at Interchange 40 and progress west.

Estimate three weeks to complete the resurfacing of the ramps.

 

Description of New Traffic Pattern:

The detours will use the next interchange to make a U-turn and return traffic to the desired interchange.


Blazier Road Bridge Replacement

Begins on Monday July 6

 

The replacement of the Blazier Road Bridge over the Dock Watch Hollow Brook is scheduled to begin on Monday July 6, 2009 with a complete road closure between Mustang Trail and Dock Watch Hollow Road.

Dock Watch Hollow Road will not be effected and will remain open. A detour will be posted.

The closure will remain in effect until the expected scheduled completion date of September 22, 2009.

Mountain Boulevard Improvements

Starting around October 1, 2008

 

Mountain Boulevard Phase II Construction from Mt. Bethel Road to Old Stirling Road to begin on Thursday August 6,2009.

Improvements to Mountain Boulevard, CR 517, from North Road/Washington Valley Road to Old Stirling Road, Warren Township. Road construction work is scheduled to begin around October 1, 2008 along Mountain Boulevard in Warren Township.  ....(For more information click here.)

Start Date: Monday, September 8, 2008

Work: Resurfacing - Mill & Pave, Concrete Deck Repairs.

Location: Route 78 / EB & WB / Mile Posts 30.90 to 42.20 (I-287 to West of Plainfield Avenue)

Municipality/County: Townships of Bedminster, Bridgewater, Bernards & Warren and

Watchung Borough / Somerset County

Impacts: Temporary lane closures within allowable hours.

The work is currently scheduled for completion in September 2009.

Mountainview Road - COMPLETED 8/5/09

(paving project)

(added 7/14/09)

A portion of Mountainview Road will be milled and paved in two phase's.

Phase One will include milling Mountainview Road from William Penn Road (most easterly portion) west to Round Top Road, then paving the following day.

 

Phase Two will include milling Mountainview Road from Round Top Road to Blue Jay Court, then paving the following day.

The start date has not been confirmed but the milling and paving will be preceded by some curb improvements throughout the construction zone.

 

During milling and paving there will be a full road closure to through traffic with police officers at traffic control points to guide motorists. Residents will have access into the zone.

 

The start date will be announced by "On or About signs" that will be erected in the construction zone and I will e-mail you when I have a definitive milling / paving date.
