Warren Township Historical Society - Fall Meeting

Sunday, October 18th, 3pm

at the historic Kirch-Ford House

The public is invited.

Cedar Grove historian Phil Jaeger will be the featured speaker at the Warren Township Historical Society’s fall meeting set for Sunday, October 18th, at 3pm at the historic Kirch-Ford House, corner Mt. Bethel and Reinmann Roads in Warren. Jaeger’s topic will be “Castles of New Jersey.” The public is invited.

“Although not as numerous or grand at their European counterparts,” says Jaeger, “a surprisingly large number of ‘castles’ were built in New Jersey during the 19th century.” Jaeger’s slide program features such well-known castles as Lambert’s in Paterson and Kip’s in Essex County as well as lesser-known ones throughout the state, including one in nearby Watchung.
